Chronicles Abroad

May 13, 2019

One of the things that’s heard a lot on Chronicles Abroad is how many people find it difficult to travel alone. Most often people are terrified of the idea of traveling to a new country without going with someone they know.

They are so terrified that because they are waiting for someone to go with them. Stop waiting. Traveling alone is one of the most liberating and resilient acts of courage that you can do.

You get to learn a lot about yourself. The things you want and need as well as the things you don’t want an need.

Living abroad forces you to be comfortable with being by yourself. And for some of us, this is a great remedy for self-discovery.

Someone once said, “Those who fly alone have the strongest wings.”

So this Monday Message is just another reminder that you can do a lot of things solo and it’s going to be okay. In fact, it’s encouraged. Get comfortable with your own company.
