Feb 27, 2019

Andrew aka Jet Set Drew is aka Mr. Urbn Trvl was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He’s an engineer currently living in Costa Rica.

Drew has lived in The Philippines, Sweden, Iraq, and has traveled to 54 countries thus far.

He is also the founder of Urban Travel, a boutique travel company that curates unique trips from all over the world where he provides the space for people to indulge in their wanderlust.

We have a thoughtful conversation with Drew about why it’s important for Black men to travel more.

He says it’s important for Black men to get out to see the world, to see how Black people are treated much differently than in the States. We talk about how travel has transformed his life in how he views himself.

In this episode, you’ll be inspired by the following:

1. Although racism exists everywhere in the world, there’s still a lot of love for Black people in other countries.
2. It’s okay to begin traveling solo because if you continue to wait for others, then it’ll never happen.
3. Learning about other cultures will help you to see the world differently.
